I have been an FNB customer for almost 10 years. This year I became a Platinum cheque account holder and I realised how pathetic they are!! I applied for a credit card online and I was approved but I decided to cancel it and go into the branch and apply for one. When I went into the branch I was declined due to affordability? I have no credit issues and my affordability is perfect so I don't understand what the problem is and according to FNB they cannot tell me what the issue is either. I contacted Premier Banking, thinking that its a perk because of my platinum cheque account, only to find out they are the same as everyone else at FNB. Neera from premier banking contacted me initially and said she would sort it out. I then got an email from the Ballito branch in Durban saying they are sorting out my account! I have never been to Ballito in my life!! They are all confused and after 2 months Neera contacted me again and said she would get The Glen branch to contact me as they are my branch. They did & said they would look into it but this was over a month ago and no response! Standard Bank gave me a limit of R25000 on a credit card over the phone! I think Ill move to Standard Bank!
