I went to 3 branches of Absa on Friday 29th November to lodge a claim for my house which was damaged by the hailstorm. All the employees in these branches were not helpful as they said they did not know where I should go. I ended up doing the claim on-line.
I then received a reference number with a promise that they will contact me within 2 days. They have not contacted me.
I have been trying to phone them since yesterday but I keep on talking to the machine that tells me to hold on as the lines are busy.
I am extremely disappointed by Absa. When I took out the policy I spoke to a consultant in her office and I was even offered coffee. Now when I am supposed to be helped I am made to speak to a machine that tells me for minutes to hold on. I am not a ROBOT. I want to speak to a human being. Yesterday evening it was raining again. I called I again this morning and still could not go through!
