Cheque deposit problem

On Friday the 29th November, I deposited two cheques on one deposit slip, their cheque deposit box referred me to the lady at the front. She took my cheques, stamped my deposit slip and bid me farewell. Well Saturday I checked my bank statement and the deposit was not done, the branch was uncontactable on Saturday. The cheques have still not been deposited. This is my fifth run in over a year with this branch and cheque deposits. Service is pathetic. What is the use of being a private banking and business banking client, when service at branch level stinks? There are no benefits at branch level for being supposedly valued client.
