I am very disgusted by the service i received from ABSA today. Today I realised that my account was suddenly blocked i went to the bank with my FICA documents that they require and to let them know that today i have several debit orders that go through. The lady who helped me couldn't care less and she told me it takes 24 hours and that its the system and noone can help me with regards to my problem because the system picks up that you are FOREIGNER and automatically freezes the account. I then asked to speak to the manager who also said he can't help me and that the debit orders will bounce and they cannot expedite the clearing in any way or at least allow transactions to go through. Instead they all blame it on the system. When i visit a bank I expect to get solutions, be treated like a human being and so far ABSA hasn't provided any when it comes to service delivery the guys are clueless and if the language is anything to go buy I think I deserve better. I didn't know that they designed systems to pick up FOREIGNERS and the people don't care less what impact it has on your credit profile, life or anything infact they might as well replace the staff with the systems.
