I have applied for an increase on my credit card through the internet. The system then ask you if you want to upgrade. I thought due to the amount I must upgrade and select the option. It was approved and the money is showing in my credit card account. They created another account due to the upgrade. Then I tried to transfer from the credit card to my cheque account an amount of R100.00 because the money shows in the account. it declined. When I phoned the credit card department, I was told I must wait for my new card before they can activate the account. That is 3 - 5 working days. This is totally unacceptable. If I knew this, I would not have applied for an increase and tried to get the money somewhere else as I need it urgently for medication. FNB is not living up to there standards. When they advertise they say money in your account immediately but due to the upgrade it's not possible. This they don't tell you when they advertise. I think FNB is getting worse and worse with regards to services delivery. I've been meaning to move to another bank for a while now and I think it's time. After 24 year!!!
