I have asked Discovery Insure to change my debit order from 1 of month to 7th of month, due to the fact that I am not paid by the 1st and don't want debits bouncing. They want to charge me double - in other words, to debit for that month and the following (thereby gaining an extra 23 days of my money!) even though it is still early in the month.
If my debit order bounces, they're obliged to keep me for 30 days. So why not simply make the change?
Oh, because it's "policy". Really? It's policy to debit me two months in advance?
