My vehicle had a minor accident in June, Santam took it to a unreliable panel beater who did not do the job properly and we landed up having to get Mercedes to replace all mechanic parts as well as ones swopped out by Panel Beater at a cost of over R20k over and above the Insurance Claim. Santam have accepted responsiblity for some of it but refuse to accept responsibility for the panel beater and keep saying they are investigating, my last reply was beginning of October and now silence and no replies. I am owed this money and it is now 6 MONTHS - do I have the right to charge interest and who do I go to to get this issue sorted out, I cannot afford to pay my bills as I had to pay this money out of my own pocket so that I could get my vehicle back as Santam wanted to investigate first, this was in August!!! Please help, I am getting desperate now and I am sure this does not bode well for all the wonderful adverts they are putting on all the TV and Radio stations!!
