I bought my brand new car in Decmeber 2013 and have been insured with Santam since then. I met an accident in May 2013 where my car was hit from the side causing me to roll down a bank and into oncoming traffic. Santam then decided to repair the vehicle and used an incompetant Panel Beater (Nuwagon Panel Beaters) in Roodepoort. The damages were quoted at roughly R80 000 and My car went back to them 8 times until it was finallly taken to a reputable repairer and then replaced in October 2013.
SANTAM then did a double deduction for premiums in October and i reversed one as I did not have the car in September. Santam cancelled my insurance yesterday and I now have a brand new vehicle that is not insured.
