We are insured by Santam through the Indwe Claims and Underwriting Center (ORICO). My wife was involved in an accident on Saturday morning, 15th December, with vehicle: BN 99 FG GP. The vehicle was towed by Metro Accident Assist to their yard in Waltloo, Pretoria (0861 622 911 - Danelle) and then moved to Indibano Panel Beaters (Audi Approved), 19 Eland Street, Koedoespoort, Pretoria, 012-333 0131. This is where the vehicle still stands, no repairs have evn started!
After the assessor reviewed the damage he advised that the vehicle was border line a write off! i requested that they please review as i wanted to have the vehicle repaired? the panel beater (choice of the insurance) then re-quoted based on secnd hand parts and reduced pricing and it was accepted by Santam. We did however have to sign a disclaimer.
The go ahead was given to the panel beater to begin the repairs on 25 January 2013!
up to this day no repairs have even started on the vehicle! numurous call and e-mails have been made to Bernhardt Visagie at the insurance and Moses at the panel beaters! they refuse to take my calls or call back! it is now entering 6 months!!! can someone please help???
