I changed my bank account from savings to cheque account. Naturally I called customer service at Nedbank to change the account number for my debit orders. I have 4 personal loans with Nedbank and the lady I spoke to changed the account number for only 3 of the loans when I called on 15Sep. On 1Oct they tried to debit from my old acc and took debit from my new acc for the 3 loans..then I called again and spoke to Sandile who said he would sort it out. On 1Nov they debited my new acc twice for all 3 loans which amounted to R2300. I then went into the branch and they had to call the same call centre to arrange for a refund. The manager was told that I needed to pay R700 for the 4th loan that was in arrears because the acc nr for it was not changed. I paid R700 on that day in the branch. They would then refund the R2300 by Wednesday that week. I received a call on Tuesday from collections and the payment for R700 didn't reflect. The branch then followed up they said that they can't refund the money as the acc will show in arrears. I don't know who in this day and age can afford to have R2300 taken from you at the end of the month when you have a budget. Please help?
