Sunday, 17 November 2013 at 13:32AM I had a breakdown with my new vehicle purchased in June 2013 and insured with Outsurance. I needed a towing service and possibly a car hire. I was bluntly told by Outsurance that they can unfortunately not assist me with a towing service nor a car hire due to the distance i was from my hometown which was 300km and they only cover me for R700 for towing???!!! PATHETIC. Not only did they tell me they cannot assist me they did not even try and find a solution to my problem not being able to get home. "we only work with AVIS and the nearest AVIS open is the International Airports mam"(nearest airport over 200km away). "this is not an accident". I wish i can publish my voice recordings with Outsurance... they are after all "recorded for your benefit" (I had 2 conversations with Outsurance phoning the 08 600 80 000 and 08 600 60 000 number). The best part is that Monday, 18 November 2013 at 08:03 when I phoned Outsurance again to query about he claim procedure THEN ONLY did they want to assist with a towing service and car hire and accommodation etc...???
This is not what my COMPREHENSIVE COVER CONTRACT has stipulated.
