I logged a claim for hail damage to my car in december 2012. A week later I added the car hire benefit to my insurance cover. The panel beater that outsurance assigned to my claim was only able to sort out my car in June 2013. I contacted outsurance to access my car hire benefit as I have been paying the premium for the last 5 months and have been told that because my claim was logged before I took out the car hire I would not benefit. Yet if I smashed my car today they would provide me with car hire. This is unacceptable as it is not my fault that outsurance could not provide me with a supplier that was able to sort my car out in january. I work call at nights at a medical facility, and I won't have transport for work. I am definately changing my 2 cars and home insurance to annother supplier. So much for bending over backwards for clients.
