Ineffective. Failure to update

In june 2011 I fully paid up my account with RCS that I owed them with an amount of 2500 contract number 5143294. This was paid through the DMC and real people who handles their account legally. To my surprise every time I applied for credit I was declined based on this transaction saying that its not being paid and not up to date. I have since made follow ups on this since then and nothing h been done. This is until I then logged a dispute with transunion. Seeing that the 30 day period to update with ITC was frustrating me I then today called RCS who tell me the account is handed over to legal, thereafter I call their legal being DMC/ real people, they tell me yes the account is paid up and I ask them why it was never updated on ITC since 2011 and they tell me they do not know what happened and worse no one can assist to fast track this and update what needs to be updated.
This has had an impact on me searching for a job and applying for credit. Again I'm more stressed that I have to wait 30 days for this to be updated after waiting for a full 2 YEARS in vain.
I'm so upset while the very same staff will never see the problem we have. Quick to give credit but never update books
