From savings to cheque?

My savings account was automatically upgraded to cheque account even after i opted No in the sms received... a few months later i went into the bank to reverse this action as the cheque acc was costing me so much money and to ask for months of service fees back. i was told it would be done and the charges would all be reversed. Today (months later) i got sms so say that my Cheque account has too little money in to remain open
What the heck???
Now i must once again take time off work to TRY Sort out this mistake from FNB???
Seriously!!!
I can say that the staff are extremely friendly and seemingly helpful... but nothing was done correctly by these lovely friendly people.
Please make me a happy, less broke client...
