I applied for a second bond R50k. To do alterations on my farm. After sending all the required documents and more. They never called I had to do all the follow up calls. Only to find out that as my wife does not have a land line the request has been just removed from the process.. I then went into the local branch at Carnival mall and saw the branch manager. Who called them and explained where my wife works the telkom lines have been down for 3 yrs so they have reverted to cellphones and using data modem to transmit sales and figure [spar ]. I the furnished them with all the details including a letter from Spar accounts for them to confirm employment. Again we had to call in to get feedback only to be told that the application is closed and will not be opened again. I tried to escalate the issue to the head office and there is absolutly no way of getting hold of them. Scary I have an existing bond with them for the last 8 odd years. And they still cannot use that information. Where to next??? Or is this what we have to expect. Really not accepteable. Especially when just with my income I more than qualify.
