Complaining again and will keep on doing so until resolved.
On 22/3/2013 I closed my 32 day notice investment deposit due to bad service from Standard bank, and due to Standard Bank not willing to better my rate to the same rate they are offering other customers with the same investment. A few months later I get a statement indicating that the account has not been closed. Went to the branch again. Waited another hour and a half to be attended to. Closed it again and got another R644.00. During October I get another statement, and guess what, the account has still not been closed. Now the balance is R0.21. This is now the last request. Close the account, and I am not coming to collect the R0.21 cents. You may donate this money, but you will now close the account. Really pathetic. And your slogan is Simpler better and faster. Defiantly not my experience.
Received a call from the Branch and the complaints centre a day after I logged the call, and then all when silent again. The issue has still not been resolved. A complaint will now be lodged with the banking ombudsman if not resolved by COB today. Once again quite disgusted in Standard Bank.
