My husband recently passed on and only after the funeral I went to Metropolitan to hand in documentation that is required. Only to find I also need to hand in a police report. Took the document to be filled out and handed in. The lady that helped me said the documents have been sent to head office and I should hear something from them within the week. A week passed and I heard nothing I called head office and found out that my documents were received on the 22nd October and they will still be assessed. I told the lady that I had handed over the documents were sent on 17 October and said I should call the following week as they still need to be assessed. The following week on the Monday I call and was told assessment still to be done. This week I call and they say assessment may begin next week. I have never received any communication from them. I am going into the 3rd week and they dont care as to giving me any information. A payout should have been made of death cailm and another of life insurance but neither one of them have cared enough to be helpful. When my husband and I chose them we believed that either one of us would struggle as they were happy to receive payment
