FNB Private Clients refusing to assist

I have upgraded both my cheque and credit card accounts to FNB Private Banking but due to poor service I elected to downgrade the accounts back to Platinum. The downgrade of the cheque account was done within a matter of days, but I have been waiting now for almost 2 months for them to downgrade the credit card. FNB Private card division wanted me to settle my FNB Private client credit card and then be re scored and apply for a Platinum credit card if I want to. I refused and escalated it to their management who then after more than a month came back with exactly the same answer. Now it has apparently been escalated again.
They were more than happy to upgrade me from Platinum to Private without me having to settle any accounts but it is impossible for them to downgrade it? I have been told that someone would contact me but, as what is becoming the norm with FNB, that will never happen... Really? Come on FNB, wake up!
