It really amazes me that Budget insurance will only give me a replacement vehicle if I am in an accident. I have insurance so that I can have piece of mind, something that we all assume we have once that huge amount comes off your salary. This weekend I decided to hit the road and travel a bit. 130km outside of Cape Town my car broke down. (ps this car was serviced a week ago and has 58000km on it). I call budget but guess what they cant assist till the next morning after 8am. I call again and explain that my car had to be towed and Im stuck and need a vehicle. I have the policy that gives me a courtesy vehicle and the response is" we only do that if you have crashed your car"
Really!!! so if you with budget and your car is about to break down crash it. You will then get a rental vehicle from them.
What a waste of time. Time for a change of insurance companies I think.
