I would just like to make everyone aware that Liberty life is taking their time to make pay outs. our company went into liquidation June 2012 since then it has been a struggle for us to get our provident fund money paid out to us.
we have send numerous emails and made numerous phone calls to liberty in which cases we spoke to David Griesel, Amanda Opperman Sahib Abdool etc. In which cases they just kept on saying that we are nearly there just awaiting approval from Financial board or are just waiting for first light - I believe that there is a process that needs to be followed but 16 months down the line we still don't have an answer on when we will receive our money.
One of the colleagues which used to work with me phoned Liberty and now they are saying they are awaiting approval from SSB and that can take up to another 18 months.
David Griesel is not with the company anymore and we are still awaiting a new contact person who is now dealing with the Sanyati fund.
No one at liberty can give a clear answer and no one can give some clarification on when we will get our money. I will never use liberty life as they are very unprofessional and full of excuses.
