HARD EARNED MONEY GONE

AM WRITING THIS REPORT ON BEHALF OF MY PARENTS WHO LOST THEIR MONEY AT AN FNB ATM AT PICK AND PAY SHOPPING CENTRE ELLISRAS TODAY 01/11/2013. MY MOTHER WANTED TO WITHDRAW 1000 RAND (WHICH IS THE CAPITEC CARD WITHDRAWAL LIMIT) AROUND 12PM OR 1PM. THE CARD GOT STUCK IN THE ATM AND I SHE TOLD ME SHE WENT STRAIGHT TO THE BANK WHICH IS NOT MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AWAY. ON HER WAY THERE 3000 RAND WAS WITHDRAWN. THE CAPITEC BRANCH SAID SHE WON;T BE REIMBURSED WITH ANY MONEY BECAUSE SHE WAS USING AOTHER BANK'S ATM. HOW DOES THIS WORK REALLY. PLEASE HELP BEFORE MY MOTHER GETS A STROKE, ITS THEIR HARD EARNED SAVINGS. CAN'T THEY GET SOMETHING FROM THE BANK? I DON;T UNDERSTAND HOW 3000 CAN BE WITHDRAWN FROM A CARD WITH A 1000 RAND LIMIT.
