I recently reported that ABSA was making me to pay twice for the same vehicle. ABSA responded by saying my case was assigned to Karen Jonkers for investigation. Case Ref No. 2571828 . Today I payed R5500, 00c instead of my usual payment of R4200, 00 just before 09H00. The reason being that I had received a letter from ABSA informing me that I am in arrears of R1133, 00. Cause of the arrears is unkown as I am up to date with my payments and Karen Jonkers has proof of my recent payments. To my greatest supprise just before 10h00 today I received a phone call from someone calling himself an investigator from ABSA, telling me that I have missed a payment in August or September and that he wants to see proof of that payment or my vehicle will be repossesed. I had actually paid more than what was demanded of the so called arrears. Now I really wonder if ABSA is really going to resolve this matter other than send to me confussing statements with 20 columns! These arrears are proof of the correctness of my earlier report about ABSA making me pay twice for one vehicle via ghost baseless arrears.
