My vehicle is 1.3 payments in arrears and has been in arrears for quite some time. I try to pay more when I can but have not been able to pay more over the past two months, though I keep paying.
Johan Ferreira called me this morning and to say he was rude is an understatement. Apparently he's been trying to get hold of me for quite some time but left no messages?? I tried to explain my situation, saying that I will do my best to get my account up to date before the end of the month but he was not interested. He said that if I don't pay at least 1 payment by tomorrow and the rest before the end of the month, he will repossess my vehicle? For 1.3 payments? A friend of mine went through a bad patch and though her vehicle was in arrears Absa refinanced the vehicle so that her payment is lower. They are not willing to do this for me though. My problem is not the premium, it is to catch up on the arrear amount. I have been trying to get help from AVAF for months but have given in. Do I have any rights or can they just repossess a vehicle that gets paid every month? One last thing. Please get someone else to contact me as I am not willing to deal with Johan Ferreira
