No notification in the mail regarding my investment that would expire soon, so I entered the branch today to give written notice. I gave my investment details to the enquiry clerk who promptly wrote an unknown account number on a piece of paper, handed it to me and sent me off to the banker. The banker reprimanded me for entering her office as "she was busy". She took me to another banker who had difficulty in finding my details on the system. When she did, she advised that I could only have "half of my money". I had to explain in great detail that my investment would fall due and I had the right to ALL my funds. The banker was not about to provide me with proof of my instructions. She said "we are saving paper". I insisted that I needed proof, whereafter she gave this to me.
Nedbank is an absolute joke!!
