How difficult is it to have a simple home loan query answered? Well, with ABSA, first try getting hold of the correct department!
I phoned the 08600 08600 general enquiries number on the website.
Was then told to phone 0860 111 999 for home loan enquiries.
Apparently this was not right. Was then told to phone 0861 221 221.
Again this was not right either. Was then told to phone 0860 023 646. (Finally!)
None of the agents were able to transfer me to any of the (incorrect) numbers. REALLY ABSA?!
If you want to make life this difficult, let it be known that I am currently looking at moving to another bank...
