Enquiries staff inability to assist

My husband was in a accident in July this year. He is currently still in hospital. I required a form for him to complete to give me authority to access his account and to collect his credit card. I informed the staff member at the enquiries desk of the situation. Her response was that he must come in to see a consultant. This is what baffles me he is in hospital so how on 's green earth will he be able to come into the branch. Is all Nedbank staff so stupid or is it only this one particular staff member. I wasn't in the mood for a argument so I thanked her for her service and left.
