On 09 October 2013 I lodged my application for a home loan with Standard bank in Castle Walk branch and I was given an electronic reference number 4577129. On 14 October 2013, I followed up on this application as I was directed by the e-mail I received about the pre-screening of my application and with the online check not assisting with ascertaining the status of my application, I opted to call the number on the website quoting the reference number, I was informed by the consultant that took my call that I will, as a latest date, be informed about the outcome of my application on 23 October 2013. On 16 October 2013, I received an e-mail pointing out to an outstanding document on my application, again not having a person who works on my application having the direct contact with me, I had to make a number of calls seeking clarification on what is required (frustrating). I was able to work out on my own what may be outstanding when I revisited my documents and I swiftly faxed the required document on the number provided for in the e-mail I received. Again no acknowledgement of receipt and to date no status of my application (frustrating). No calls either from Std Bank to update me.
