I noticed on my bank statement that Absa was deducting an amount of R84-00 for ABSA WILLS. I have never signed any documentation with Absa for a will. My will has been drawn up by Sanlam in 1993 and it's still with them.
When I went to Absa at Glennwood shopping center they told me they can't help me I have to phone the wills department, which I did. Then I was told they can't help me either and gave me the number of another company who handles the wills.
Absa did not want to put a stop on the debit order that was UNLAWFULLY going off on my account. This in my eyes is.
I had the same problem once before while I was living in PE and the Walmer branch immediately helped me. They stopped the debit order and reversed the payment and the money was back in my account.
I can't see why I must phone after people who are wrongfully deducting money from my account. This is Absa's mistake and they need to sort this out.
