Whilst overseas I had to use my bank account to withdraw as my partner had problems with his card, knowing that I did not notify my bank I called today to find out if my account was softlocked and have it unlocked. I spent approximately 20 minutes being transferred twice to the wrong departments and exactly 28 minutes when I received the correct number holding on for some sort of customer service. I have a pre-paid phone so all my airtime has run out and my account still locked. I have banked with standard bank for more than 9 years and this service is atrocious. Its terrible service and I am not happy this is not the first problem I have had.
