EXCESS CLAIM ON INSURANCE 8 MONTHS OUTSTANDING

I met with an accident on 20 February 2013. My car was knocked by an Inter Waste truck. I am insured with Absa i-direct. On claiming, I paid the excess to have my car repaired. However, Absa I-DIRECT undertook to recover my excess from the other party. After months of promises and undertakings by the legal person I have not received my excess. 8 months later, they want me to get a witness statement. They were very confident of my refund and now they not so they pass the buck back to me. I have been the only one to follow up. Never, is it them to advise without me asking. I also have never heard from Absa since the passed the case to the legal team. Absa passed it to legal, Legal passed it to Inter Waster, Interwatse passed back to legal and Legal passed it to me.

This is poor service and failure to honour commitment and an insurer that does care for its client.
