As my domestic needed airtime urgently on 6th October for contact with his relatives, I offered to purchase online with ABSA. I purchased R60 MTN from ABSA & the amount was immediately deducted from my ABSA account. As the airtime was not through by the next day & after SEVERAL phone calls to 0860008600, an incident was logged & a reference number sent through to me. Today is 15th October & STILL NOTHING with an idle statement from ABSA Complaints saying that the matter is under investigation & once completed THEY will decide whether to credit my account OR give me the airtime! ABSA - you have lost the plot & fortunately there are enough ways other than ABSA to purchase airtime. PLUS I am getting closer to the day that after over 30 years banking with ABSA I am seriously considering following others & LEAVING ABSA TOTALLY.
