POOR SERVICE DELIVERY & RESPONSE

I recently applied for an increase in my RCP but the matter has been dragging for almost two weeks now. My Prestige Manager does not return calls or provide follow up and I subsequently spend my own airtime holding on for long periods of time before I can speak to someone as you cannot contact the banker directly. This morning after sending an e-mail I was told that my application was declined. The reason quoted was affordability re: suspended home loan account. My wife and I have a joint home loan account and she pays for the mortgage. She had approval for a payment holiday that ended September. She requested the holiday as the money was pumped into renovations to our property. There is a clear trail and I can even supply receipts from the contractor to show that the money was used for the revamp of the property. Standard bank can even do their own audit as it was transferred to another Standard Bank account! The reason quoted is absurd as even though I acknowledge it is a joint account, I do not pay for the bond yet the transactions are being levied against my expenditure. If the bank so wishes to conduct their assessment then why not also assess my application jointly as well.
