In the last year due to unforeseen circumstances, I went into financial trouble and built up a small arrears on my bond. In May this year I went onto Debt Review and all creditors accepted my proposal except for FNB on a piece of land I own, however on my other bond they accepted the payment structure.
According to FNB they sent me summons on this property, however I never received anything due to them sending it to an address I moved away from in 2008. Now FNB does have my new postal address because all correspondence from FNB since 2008 was sent to my new address.
Now FNB as taken Judgement against me so I asked FNB to put my property into the quicksell option and their response was your land is not marketable. Further to that I have no contact information of anyone at FNB to speak to about what is going on neither do I have anything in writing or have signed anything.
So I will lose my property and then still have to pay the difference because of an arrears of around R14k, which they want me to pay the whole amount now. I am under debt review and don't have that surplus money lying around! I have put the property for sale, but they'll take it away before I can sell!
