FNB doesn't actually want you to switch to FNB

Worst customer experience ever. Well, potential customer or partial customer. I have 2 FNB products already - vehicle finance and a Discovery credit card under FNB umbrella. Apply for home loan and INDICATE that I am fully prepared to switch wholesale to FNB should the loan be approved. I have another property that generates rental income - long term rental agreements in place. FNB won't take rental income into account because the rent isn't paid into an FNB account, even though I can show up to 84 months of constant rental income on my non-FNB cheque account statements!!! What the heck is that? It's like going to a VW dealer, looking to buy a car (become a VW customer) and getting told you cannot get a vehicle because you are currently a Toyota owner. Ridiculous policy and customer focus. Don't my other FNB products make me a customer already?? I am livid.

Luckily I got a good deal from another financial institution who isn't so covered in red tape they can't see that they are chasing away potential customers. Poor show, FNB! Do us a favour and take those ads off the radio and TV cause you're not living up to them.
