We were clients of Bugdet Insurance for more than 2 years with no claims. This time they broke into our house at a new address. We submitted an affidavit stating that we lived with my brother-in-law's in the house still the house we were going to rent was ready to be moved in. Our furniture in that time was place in storage. Despite of the aforementioned they declined our claim and are not paying anything out. They claim that we should had an alarm system. An alarm system would not have helped as they came through the burglar bars of the window which was open as it was very hot. They broke the burglar bars with some tool and got access to the house like that. My daughter of 9 years saw them and when they saw her fortunately for us they ran away. My daughter is traumatized and she is getting counselling.
To us this is not acceptable. We cancelled our insurance with them.
