I recently had a very bad experience where a rock was shot up, or fell from a truck and came right through my windscreen, hitting me on the head and shoulder. I almost rolled my car and ended up being hospitalised due to injuries sustained. This was an extremely traumatic, near-death experience.
I submitted my claim and the assessor Shane Meyer completed the assessment and kept me informed throughout.
Imagine my surprise when, after the claim was settled and my vehicle repaired, I was contacted and asked to collect something from the assessment centre.
I was given a voucher to have smash-and-grab tinting film fitted to my vehicle to try prevent future similar incidents and would also serve to keep me safe as I use my vehicle for business, sometimes in dangerous areas.
I would like to thank Shane as well as the claims department at Auto & General for the service and in particular for the gesture after the claims experience.
