To whom this may concern
I went to the ATM to go withdraw money at the ATM at Ghandi Square, followed process of withdrawing from putting my pin to the cash that I required, as the cash was about to come out of the ATM an error message appeared on the screen" A technical problem has occurred please try again later" the same error message was displayed on the receipt also but no money came out of the machine.
I later then received an sms notification stating that the cash was debited out of my account.
I further went to the branch to get the issue sorted and I was told that an ATM claim would be put through and this process has a turn around time of 15 working days. I'm very disappointed at the turn around period to look into this query for me as i actually need the money ASAP.
And its quiet disappointing that a reputable bank like Standard Bank has not put measures in place to combat such issues since we live in a technologically advanced world and technical glitches like this should be provisioned for.
I was given a reference number by the consultant that assisted me - Ref# S527/737
I'm highly disappointed by Standard Bank and i will be switching Banks
