I applied for vehicle finance for ABSA which was approved. The agent was meant to call me back in an hour and instead called me back a week later. He then says my application has now been declined because my ABSA cheque account is in overdraft - this is because I ASKED FOR THIS ACCOUNT TO BE CLOSED BUT ABSA WON'T CLOSE IT AND INSISTS ON CHARGING ME BANK CHARGES EVERY SINGLE MONTH FOR AN ACCOUNT I'M NOT USING!!!
Nonetheless, I pay the fees and Ivan says he'll call me back the next day - this was a MONTH ago and I'm still waiting!!
What is wrong with the service in this country?? It should be said that my Wesbank application was approved in 2 days and 2 months later I'm still waiting for ABSA!
If you don't want my business, just say so AND I'LL GO ELSEWHERE!
