On Sunday evening my account had a large sum of money removed without any authorization from my side, I followed all the procedures by the book by canceling my card and reporting the incident. On Monday I went to my Absa branch to file a report that money was removed from my account and I was told it will take 2 weeks but once my claim was processed I would be refunded.
I was later contacted by a Retha Erasmus from Absa somewhere in Pretoria and told that according to Absa they will not be refunding me the money that was from me. I then tried to contact some "Koos" guy who I was assured would be able to help me... Well, I'm still waiting for this "Koos" to return my phone calls. So at the end of the day I'm now sitting with no money for the rest of the month due to the incompetence and laziness of the Absa staff and a useless system that allows this type of thing to happen. I used to have respect for this brand and what they stand for but now from experience I can tell you that they do not care in the least bit for consumer satisfaction which should be the key objective for any business. YOU Absa!
