I have been with ABSA for about 6 years, have my car financing with them and the people in the branch know very well who I am. I was in an armed, and my whole handbag was with my cards and ID book. I wanted to get a new card as I had no money to go and get my ID and license done. They just didnt want to help me with getting a card and I had to go and do my ID first. I understand ABSA has rules, but as a loyal client they should has given me alternatives. I was out of the branch in tears, as I was also traumatized by the experience.
First I had a temporary ID, as I was still waiting for mine. They didn't want to accept it. I had to wait to get my real ID first. I went to the manager and said i'm for ABSA not assisting me and I would like to move my account. She didn't even try to get a solution for my problem.

I had a incident a week ago where money was taken out of my account by swiping a card in a different city. I went to do all the reports and opened up a police case. I still haven't heard anything of ABSA and it's been about 2 weeks of where my money went too. Please if someone can help me.
