My sister banks with capitec bank and she received a message saying funds were deducted from her account by an unknown person in another province. all her money is gone. she has to travel approximately an hour to get to her branch to report the matter. when we called the call center they asked for a reference number before they could assist her. they told her she must go back to the bank to obtain a reference number, this is unacceptable from Capitec bank. this person has kids and responsibilities and her entire salary was taken not that any of their bank teller care. Can Capitec Bank take full responsibility in accessing the situation and return the money to the owner please!!! stop giving her a run around this is totally unacceptable!!
