Seems my tarrif charge has been changed without notification to myself. I am now on Pay as you transact which has seen me pay over ZAR 546 rands in fees in September. This is double what I was paying before! Infact in the month before, I paid a total of ZAR703 rands for 45 transactions consisting of debit card payments and ATM withdraws.
Can someone please explain this change to me and why I am all of a sudden paying so much? Why was the tarrif structure on my account changed and why was this not communication. I also noticed prior that I was classified as Platinum Classic and now this simply says Pay as you Transact.
ZAR703 monthly comes to ZAR8, 436 annually - almost 2% of my net earnings. Quite simply put, I cannot afford this change and it is not reasonable or sustainable in my view. It might not seem a lot to you but 700 rands can pay my esckom bill monthly, dstv for 30 days and pay for an ipad or cell phone contract each for me and my spouse over 2 years
ABSA are not the best at customer engagement but I have reached the zennith of my patience.
