Standard Bank
Switching to Standard bank was a huge mistake!

Switching to Standard Bank has cost me a lot of money, time, stress and a huge credit rating downgrade. The Private Banking facility I signed up for has been significantly poorer than any banking service I've ever experienced (very poor considering I've never had private banking before).

I switched to Standard Bank private banking and was told they would switch my debit orders acocrdingly. Two months went by (with my complaints in between) where the debit orders were not switched.

I also made a complaint via the Standard Bank complaints arrangement about a month ago and am yet to get feedback on how they intend to resolve my complaint.

I have incurred a large amount of fees as a result of unpaid debit orders. Never mind the extra administration involved in doing damage control.
I have had my car insurance lapsing as a result of Standard Bank's poor servicing.

I have not been able to close my old account as it was blocked and now there is also a large amount of money owed on it (in banking charges and who knows what else because I don't even have an overdraft facility).

I've been patient with the bank but this is beyond ridiculous.
