Logged onto Fnb Online. After logged in I got an pop up msg stating if I upgrade my account from Smart Account to Platinum account I will be rewarded with 2000 (R200) EBUCKS.

Application done... never received ebucks.
After various complaints received mail stating thet ebucks will be credited on 15 January 2013... never happened even after Mr Beek stated that both accounts (mum and myself will be credited in an email dated 8 January 2013.

Now all of a sudden Fnb states that this offer was not applicable to an Smart account upgrade and ebucks will not be given dated 25 January 2013.

How can they turn around now, I base my question on following facts:

1.Why did they pop up the special on my account if not applicable to smart account?
2.Why did they state per email dated 8 January 2013 that I will receive the free ebucks on 15 January 2013.
3.Why did they state per email dated 8 January 2013 that my account will be credited.together with my mums
who also took Fnb up on upgrade offer?

How can I trust Fnb if they go back on their word as per above dated emails from Fnb?
