On 2 Sep my new FNB home loan debit hadn't gone of my account, so I verified the debit date online (1 Oct) and also called FNB home loans to confirm. The agent told me that the debits for the 1 Sep will only go off on the 3rd due to the 1st was on a Sunday. I explained that my first debit payment shows 1 Oct. The agent verified (before and after consulting with a colleague) that my first debit date is only 1 Oct.
Surprise, after getting roll-on lawn and paving the debit goes through on 3 Sep and the online debit date was also changed.
I called the call centre and asked for an explanation. I was promised a call back as the agent wanted to review the recording. After 16H00 no phone call had been received so I called them. The agent started a one sided conversation and told me that her colleague told me the debit will be on the 3 Sep. Which let me to believe that she didn't listen to the whole conversation or didn't listen at all. There was no supervisor or manager as they all left for home. I was promised call back from a manager today... still waiting.
