I had policies with metropolitan in 2003 and they lapsed because i was going through financial difficulty. In March 2013 i called in to reinstate my policies, an agent (Themba Bengu) was sent to my work place by metropolitan to update and upgrade my policies. Mr Bengu came with application forms which we filled together, he requested my payslip and certified ID copy to process my application form. I only wanted to increase the amount of money i previously paid for my policies. The agent then returned on a different day with added information to my policies which he amended himself to get more commission, i disagreed to the amendments but he processed my documents putting in the wrong pay date. He processed my forms without the unions signatures to allow the debit orders to go through. My debit orders go through on any day of the month and i have to deal with the bank charges, i have only been reimbursed once out of all the other months. I want to cancel these policies because i feel like i"ve been robbed repeatedly.
