Is this the way the help me?

I recently opened a FNB account have some issues with my current bank.
I successfully applied for an overdraft (the reason for this is that I wanted to be 100% sure that my debit orders will go off, since I receive my salary a little late some months)
I supplied all the documentation, and received an email notifying me that it was approved, all I had to do was tranfer my salary to the account to "activate" it.
I used the money from my savings to tranfer into the account, and the overdraft was subsequently loaded.
Only a few days later, it disappeared. After enquiry I was told that the back office could not verify the company I worked for. I passed on this information to them, however, they informed me I had to re-apply for the account.
Now my grievance is this if its not evident: Which bank gives you a product before completing their internal vetting procedures, and then takes it away when they are unable to do so?
I'm sorry, I dont want a tablet or ebucks, I want a bank I can trust and I can rely on..
