First National Bank
Incorrect account number on UIF form

Prior to having her baby, my daughter went to the Lambton branch to have her UIF form filled in. Today when I took the forms to the Department of Labour they noticed that the bank account number was missing a digit and was therefore not the same as on the bank statement. This is yet another delay in getting UIF paid out. My daughter spent hours in the bank trying to get the form filled in. For the statement it took 1.5 hours two Saturdays ago. Only one person handling queries - it took the person half an hour so assist one specific client. My daughter can only go when someone can accompany her and the baby which is on a Saturday. For the next three weeks she cannot go to the bank. Can you give us a solution to the problem that was caused by an incompetent bank clerk? How difficult is it to write a number down on a sheet of paper?
