I have to take time and actually compliment Investec on the wonderful service that they provide to their clients. Yes it's a private bank and yes you pay for it (R350 now :(), so you kind of expect some kind of good sevice from them.
But I do believe that they go above and beyond. It's non-existant customer service elsewhwere that actually reminds you that you are taking for granted some of the people who are serving you well. I have banked with investec for a long time and have moved from private banker to private banker (which did annoy me) BUT... I have never had a decision about a homeloan take more than 2 hours - when I've been stranded in an airport out of town because I forgot to pick up my replacement card, the banker has called the car hire place, I got the car and not only that they arranged for me to get cash for the weekend. I can go on and on about how good they are.
Whatever you are doing, keep at it - only improve.
