My cheque card expired at the end of Jan 2013. It is obviously too much trouble for Standard Bank to proactively send its customers a basic sms to inform about this as do other progressive banks. Forget the fact that I supposedly have a Prestige banker who ought to look after me as a customer. In any case, I eventually realised this much to my embarrassment as I was attempting to make a purchase. I then took took the trouble of calling the Prestige customer line to order a new card. I stated explicitly that I would like the card to be delivered to the Honey Crest branch. The card was apparently delivered to North Gate because cards do not get delivered to a service center. I was not informed about this during my initial call. Anyway the card was returned back to 'central office' or something along those lines because I failed to collect it. Get your facts straight!! Your staff failed to inform me that the card had arrived. Surely it is not too much to ask that customers be alerted once their cards arrive even if it is at the wrong location!!!
